MEB as a company participates in a variety of volunteer and community service activities. Individuals within the company participate in an even broader variety of similar activities, with management leading the way. MEB management has been involved in significant leadership roles of such organizations as the Noblemen (formally known as the Robinhoods) and NobleWomen, which raise money through a variety of means to support local charities; the HER Shelter which serves as a shelter for battered women; St. Gregory the Great Catholic School; The Chesapeake and Virginia Beach Rotary Clubs, providing service throughout the world; The March of Dimes; The United Way and many others.

As an organization, MEB has a long history of service and participation in a number of charitable groups. For a number of years, the company has actively participated in the Lee’s National Denim Day to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Other activities have involved the Angel Tree, Habitat for Humanity and the Hope House. Following the tragedy at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007, MEB made a large contribution to the Hokie Memorial Fund and sent a group photo in support of the grieving families. Celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2007, MEB established a charitable foundation, MEB 25, with the goal of providing yearly monetary support to charities in need throughout the Hampton Roads region.
