The following individuals at MEB General Contractors have passed the LEED NC (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – New Construction) exam, earning accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council: Wesley M. Bynum, LEED AP, DBIA, is the Chief Estimator and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University. Mr. Bynum oversees cost estimating for the company’s construction management, negotiated design/build and hard bid projects. He has experience with a diverse range of construction types including schools, commercial office buildings, industrial warehouses, multi-family projects, water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as municipal, state, and federal projects. Kimberly D. Forbes, LEED AP, is a Project Estimator and holds an Urban Planning degree from the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech. Forbes has specialized experience with project scheduling and has previously served as a construction owner’s rep on projects in Washington, DC and throughout the Southeast. Her areas of expertise include all types of commercial, higher education, healthcare, municipal and federal projects. Eric L. Keplinger, AIA, LEED AP, is the Business Development Manager and holds Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech. Mr. Keplinger has over 20 years of combined design and construction experience. Steven T. Bunting, LEED AP, DBIA, has been a MEB project manager for more than 4 years and has nearly 30 years of construction industry experience. Bunting’s expertise includes both commercial and industrial design/build and construction management projects. Trip Smith, LEED AP, DBIA, is a project manager and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Virginia Tech. Smith has more than 14 years of industry experience in both project management and project estimating. Mark F. Olmstead, LEED AP, DBIA, serves as Senior Vice President of MEB. He currently oversees MEB’s project managers, estimating, scheduling, and strategic planning. Mr. Olmstead holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences degree from Virginia Tech and has been with MEB since its inception.
