MEB General Contractors was featured in the April 2004
issue of Civil Engineering magazine in an article detailing
the success of the CSO Retention Tunnel in Richmond, Virginia.
The seven page article details the design and construction
of the deep tunnel 5,900 feet long that stores polluted
water during severe storms.

Chartway Federal Credit Union
Completes
Build-To-Suit Project In Chesapeake
Chartway Federal Credit Union completed a 3,200 square
foot build-to-suit project in the Eden Way Business Center
in Chesapeake. The construction was handled by Mid Eastern
Builders, Inc. (MEB). The branch is a freestanding building
that provides drive through access for customers. The
property was purchased to relocate an existing credit
union branch in Chesapeake to the Greenbrier area to better
serve its customers. Advantis Real Estate Services Company
negotiated the sale of the .637-acre parcel at the corner
of Eden Way and Stephanie Way in the Eden Way Business
Center in Chesapeake. David Machupa represented the buyer,
Chartway Federal Credit Union and Bill Overman
represented the seller, CAE, LLC, both agents
are with Advantis’ Norfolk office.
